Awareness Of Crisis Management And The Contigencies To Prepare For Mitigation - 2Days

Introduction

This program is aimed to bring about an awareness of potential crisis that can possibly threaten the Product, Process, People, Plant Equipment and lastly the Packing which can affect the overall livelihood of people, business, reputation of the product and organization.

Through this program, the participants will be given the methodological approach to carry out an audit of the current situation or process, thereby enabling to have an outcome of the Risk Assessment Table based on the Current Process Flow Chart (practice) via an activity.

Having identified the potential or likely risks, the participants will be guided on how to mitigate should a crisis occur. The intention is the preparedness should such a situation arise., through a working committee who have attended this program headed by a senior position employee of authority. The objective is to work to reposition the department or ministry, should a crisis occur whilst communicating and coordinating through the different agencies effectively and making sure that the crisis is controlled or does not happen.

This does not guarantee that team can identify all the potential risks, like the recent Covid 19. However, with the basic foundation, the team can quick get into gears to address and the calm the unexpected situation to ensure that the business continuity plan is maintained. The people affected are rescued or what is termed as, Damage Control.

Learning Objective

During the training, the participants will be given activities to bring out the techniques of developing a Crisis Risk Assessment Table
Training objective.
On completion of the training, the participants will be able to do the following:
1. Draw a process flow chart of the process using standard symbols.
2. Identify the potential risks at each specific sub process under the headings as follows:
-Product or produce/Process/People/Plant equipment/Packaging
-Any other potential catasphoric situation.
3. Develop a mitigating plan for each of the identified areas and dedicate a Person in Charge.
4. How and who will effectively communicate and coordinate should a crisis occur.
5. Which relevant agencies should be contacted and roped to coordinate the activities.
6. Help to record incidences, with sufficient photos, data etc to prepare the post crisis report.
